Inspired and named after Electric avenue in Westlands, Nairobi. I felt i should make a cocktails dedicated to the vibrant Nairobi nightlife, especially in my hood, Westi :D

Nairobi by night is a glow.

-> 2 measures white rum

-> 1 measure lime cordial

-> Tonic water [with quinine]

Fill a glass with ice and pour the lime cordial and rum over the ice. Top up with tonic water and serve.

For the women who glow with inner beauty.

I am genuinely confused about how i would handle this situation. I’ve only been legal for about a month now, so for a while now i have been going out in Nairobi, to events and such underage. I have had my fair share of rejections and some have stung way more than others.

A week to my birthday, i got tickets to a Heineken event.

I was so excited because i thought, ‘Oh my gosh,this is my opportunity to show my face and amazing personality to some people who could actually have some effect on my career!’. I had absolutely no interest in drinking.

Anyway, i reach there, all decked out, and, they refused to let me in! I was hurt and furious because they just brushed me off like some random fan girl.

I asked, ‘One week?! One Week! How much more could i possibly mature in one week?!’

What exactly is the drinking age based on?

Is it a question of maturity? Or is it just about a number?
